it’s been about 80 degrees in the city these past few days, but it’s pretty much an april fools’ day joke, as they say it’s supposed to rain again tomorrow.
nonetheless, it was lovely to feel the sun on my skin and wear a dress with bare legs and break out my sandals (i almost forgot i had sandals). i got to leave the office early today, so i went to my favorite flower stand in the alley that sells stems for $1 on fridays, and i bought five gerbera daisies. it’s pretty amazing how a few blooms can brighten up your day, and your apartment.
i discovered this song today also, and i’m absolutely obsessed. if it doesn’t get you excited for sunny days in the park and cutoff shorts and drinking beers on patios, i don’t know what will. i really don’t.
